Who are Transition Extreme?
As a modern social enterprise and Scottish charity (SC036358), Transition Extreme uses urban sports and their cultures to attract and engage the local youth population.
Transition Extreme supports and assists children and young people to make positive life transitions. As a leading Aberdeen-based youth charity and social enterprise, we do this by providing a wide range of innovative sports, diversionary, employability, educational and enterprise activities.
Our Extreme Sports Centre, now attracts over 80,000 visits per annum, provides year round indoor & outdoor facilities including; rock climbing, a high ropes course, skatepark, pump track, recreational room and cafe/community facilities.
We pride ourselves in being completely inclusive, with something available for all abilities.
Located in a prime location at Aberdeen Beachfront we are easily accessible, supporting the community in harnessing their energy to reach their full potential.

Transition Extreme Skatepark and Pumptrack provides the North East with an unbeatable space for skateboarding, BMXing and inline skating. With the addition of the outdoor pump track in 2024, we now have a space where mountain bikes can be used at the centre!
We put Youth FIRST
As a leading youth charity Transition Extreme offers a number of youth and community programmes.
Working with Aberdeen City Council, and the Youth Horizons project, we have been able to provide the youths of Aberdeen with free climbing wall sessions, skateboarding tasters, BMX and pumptrack workshops and free lunches throughout the holiday periods of 2025!
We have had the pleasure of working with the Inverurie Youth Sport Foundation who have been inspired to support and promote the future development of youth in sport.
We are so grateful to everyone who makes these sessions possible.
We are involved in our community
Transition Extreme have been recognised as a major influence on the community and as a business. We have received a number of awards that show our commitment, passion and hard work as a charity to provide the best service to the community.
Not only do we provide community and youth projects but a wide facility to participate in numerous sporting activities. We are able to provide team building activities, corporate events, birthday parties and much more. We are always eager to be involved in the community.
