SKATE PARK DESIGNS

Skatepark Bowl Skatepark Mini Ramp and Oververt
Check out the 360° views of our skatepark

A good skate park should have numerous lines (paths through the terrain) and challenges. The space within the park will almost be divided in two with one half being transition-based (mini ramps, quarter pipes, bowls) and the other as street-section (flat banks ledges, driveways and handrails) .But the two will combine effectively to give users maximum flow between ramp and street style obstacles offering up endless challenging transfers.

The park's outstanding features will be the "Eureka" vert bowl incorporating a 9.5 ft deep section and a 5.5 ft shallow, the "not-so" mini ramp which is 60 ft long 6 ft deep, elbowed, loveseat, 9.5 ft tombstone, bowled out with over vert cradle and the street coarse with it's inspirational selection of movable boxes, ledges, and adjustable rails.

Our goal for the TRANSITION skate park is to both cater for the current climate and preferences and to continue running on a skater based philosophy, keeping the parks attitude right, the layout up to date and challenging enough to attract visiting professionals and eventually competitions for the European circuit.

Realisation of this ambitious project will give Aberdeen skaters, bmxers and bladers the facilities they deserve and it will also make a significant contribution to the youth culture in the city.
